Koetting Jackson's practice is focused on construction law and general civil litigation with a particular emphasis on mechanic's and materialman lien issues. Koetting has filed and defended lien and bond claims for a wide range of clients in the construction and real estate industries. Koetting graduated from the South Texas College of Law where she participated in the Moot Court and Mock Trial programs.
REPRESENTATIVE EXPERIENCE
- Represented a national commercial real estate conglomerate and successfully removed an invalid lien brought by a subcontractor. The court awarded defense costs.
- Represented a subcontractor, general contractor, owner and surety against a multimillion dollar lien claim brought by an equipment supplier in connection with the construction of a large resort in Texas.
- Represented an equipment supplier that provided equipment for a TXDot project in a payment dispute.
- Represented a national household products manufacturer in a bodily injury matter.
- Represented a construction heavy equipment dealer sued by a national heavy equipment manufacturer for fraud and breach of contract.
- Represented a general contractor and surety in a wrongful bond claim.
