Professional Summary
Born in Refugio, Texas, on October 3, 1959, Jerry (as he is known to his family and friends), began the practice of law in 1986 with the firm of Weitinger, Steelhammer & Tucker, an insurance defense firm. After gaining almost immediate trial experience in slip-and-fall and auto accident cases, Jerry's practice graduated to cases with more legal and financial exposure and more complex and diverse issues. A large portion of Jerry's practice since 1990 has involved large, multi-party toxic torts, environmental claims, pollution, and indoor air quality cases. As a result, Jerry has been involved in a wide range of litigation and client representation. Jerry joined Cokinos, Bosien & Young in July 1993 and represents individuals as well as small businesses, struggling entrepreneurs, and large corporations and businesses. The wide diversity of cases and clients has provided Jerry with versatility in a broad range of litigation experience on both national and state levels.
