Professional Summary
David Gregorcyk is an associate in the firm's San Antonio office. His practice is devoted primarily to litigation matters involving a range of commercial, insurance, and personal injury disputes before both state and federal courts as well as alternative dispute resolution forums.
David joined Cokinos, Bosien & Young as a law clerk in 2007, following his first year of law school. Since then, he has assumed an active role in the prosecution and defense of multi-party construction defect claims involving both private and public projects, residential construction defect claims, construction payment disputes, insurance coverage litigation, and personal injury actions. With special permission from the State Bar of Texas, David participated in the trial of several cases to jury verdict under the supervision of CB&Y attorneys prior to becoming licensed. He has significant experience dealing with complex procedural issues in state court proceedings, including injunctive relief, pre-suit discovery, third-party practice, preparation and argument of jury charges, and post-judgment matters. In addition, he regularly assists with the preparation of articles for local trade journals on a variety of legal issues facing the construction industry.
David is fluent in Spanish and enjoys making frequent visits to nearby Monterrey, Mexico, where he studied international business for two semesters while attending the University of Texas. He and his wife, Jenny, have logged thousands of miles exploring south of the border, having driven to 29 of Mexico's 31 states.
