Anthony Vlahos focuses his practice on commercial litigation, construction law and intellectual property matters including copyright/trademark evaluations and appropriation, and the management, strategy, and preservation of intangible assets.
Anthony has studied abroad at Tulane University's Admiralty law Seminar in Rhodos, Greece and he clerked for two federal judges prior to joining the firm in 2010. In addition, Anthony assists the Editor in Chief of the State Bar of Texas Construction Law Journal with preparing, reviewing, and selecting articles for publication.
REPRESENTATIVE EXPERIENCE
- Advised a distribution company undergoing a rebranding effort regarding the validity, enforcement, and strategy of various trademarks.
- Advised a consulting firm on protecting their copyrighted materials, which were to be published by a third party.
- Represented a pipeline contractor in a complex, multi-million dollar breach of contract action brought by owner.
- Represented a general contractor in a case against designer, which involved obtaining the necessary certificates of merit.
- Represented a general contractor in arbitration for breach of contract against subcontractor.
- Represented a national bank against a claim of false imprisonment by an individual. Successfully mediated a favorable settlement for the client.
